Medical Massage Course

For more information

Medical massage improves the function of various bodily systems, such as blood circulation, muscle tension, and pain in the back, neck, and head. It also induces a general sense of relaxation and tranquility.

Medical massage is fundamentally different from spa massage, as it is performed within a medical setting or therapeutic clinic. It focuses on relieving a specific medical issue rather than providing a general relaxation experience.

In medical massage, a variety of therapeutic techniques are used, such as trigger point therapy or myofascial release, to relieve muscle pain.

Godelman College offers students rich, content-filled studies in a homely atmosphere, alongside hands-on practice and real-world experience.

More About Medical Massage

Medical massage studies in the center form a professional massage course comprised of diverse techniques. These include body stretching, Swedish massage, joint mobilization, deep tissue work, and pressure on key points. The treatment is tailored individually to each patient based on their condition, goals, and preferences—such as relieving muscle tension and pain, improving blood circulation to body organs, easing headaches, providing relaxation, increasing joint flexibility, and alleviating back pain.

Students of the massage course will find the program varied and fascinating, with a rich and enriching curriculum. Participants will learn that treatments typically last about 45 minutes, often incorporating base oils and sometimes essential oils, depending on the patient’s conditions. The outcomes can be highly effective. The program also covers treatments for various audiences and special conditions, such as massage for athletes, individuals with injuries, disabilities, and more.

Where Should You Study Medical Massage?

There is no single answer to this question, as several institutions offer medical massage courses. However, it’s very important to evaluate key parameters of the college you’re considering. First, ensure the institution is well-established and has been highly regarded for years, like our college, which was founded nearly 30 years ago. Pay attention to the number of students, and whether graduates successfully integrate into workplaces such as rehabilitation centers, HMOs, sports clubs, spas, and more.

If you have a busy schedule, check whether the college offers flexible options such as evening or morning classes. Make sure the structure allows for small groups and comfortable classrooms, enabling instructors to give personal attention and help each student make the most of the lessons.

Of course, also consider the qualifications and experience of the instructors—especially in the medical massage course. The more experienced and academically trained the teachers, the better.

Additional Things to Consider When Choosing a College and Course

In addition to the above, it’s important to consider your budget. Prices for medical massage courses vary among colleges, depending on factors like reputation, the quality of the curriculum, student services, and more. Often, the cost reflects the value you’ll receive in terms of education and certification.

In other words, choosing the cheapest course isn’t always the best option, nor does the most expensive one guarantee the highest quality. Check whether the price is justified by proven results and benefits, and whether the certification is internationally recognized—especially if you wish to pursue employment opportunities abroad.

Lastly, check if there are admission requirements for the medical massage course. Usually, the requirements are accessible and do not demand prior professional experience, but it’s important to verify this with the college. We recommend reviewing the college’s website, looking for independent reviews and testimonials, and, if possible, asking a trusted acquaintance who has studied there about their experience.
